Photographer and video artist Yasmine Chatila is best known for her controversial photography series STOLEN MOMENTS, the result of patient surveillance, zoom lenses, and a strong fascination with those intangible relationships that lurk behind the windows of others, where what is intended to be hidden is exposed. STOLEN MOMENTS II is a new series of videos in which the artist brings to life her subjects through digital video projections, bringing us closer than ever before to a powerfully visceral voyeuristic experience. As in all STOLEN MOMENTS videos (see teasers below), Chatila protects her subjects by replacing real buildings with evocative architecture, blurring the faces of her subjects, and altering interiors.
